The play is at the Neil Simon Theatre located at 250 West 52nd Street. It opened in 1927 as the Alvin Theatre. In 1977 the Nederlander Organization purchased the theatre and renamed it the Neil Simon Theatre. It seats1,362. In 2011 Hairspray set the record for it's longest running show, which opened on August 15, 2002 and ran for 2,642 performance before closing on January 4, 2009. The theatre opened with Funny Face. Recent productions are Cats (2016), The Illusionists (62 performances, GiGi (20 previews, 86 performances 2015), The Last Ship (29 previews and 105 performances)), All the Way (2014), Big Fish (34 oreviews and 98 performances 2013), Scandoulas, Jesus Christ Superstat (Revival(2012) and Catch Me If You Can (2011).)
